Description

Beginning statistical theory and practice are introduced through topics of data collection, sampling techniques, organization and presentation of data, measurement of central tendency, probability concepts, discrete and continuous probability distributions, statistical estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, linear regression and analysis of variance. Assumes familiarity with algebraic reasoning and quantative interpretation; completion of a gen ed mathematics course is recommended. This course does not fulfill the General Education Mathmatics requirement.
