  • Between the Bridges Healing Centers is hiring

    Evening part-time 5-10+ hours per week. 2-3 times/week Interior/Exterior cleaning for health clinic. Job duties include (evening hours) cleaning/vacuuming 3 bathrooms/floors throughout, surface cleaning, emptying garbage, break down cardboard boxes, clean workout equipment, interior window washing. Exterior maintenance weather permitting: lawn-mowing/lawn mower maintenance, fall cleanup, weed pulling, sweeping, window washing, shoveling. Starting pay: $10/hour.     Come support the BLC Basketball teams this Friday and Saturday against Crown College and Minnesota-Morris.   • Winter Hike Feb 3rd 4:30

    All Bethany students are welcome to join the X-terrian Outdoor club on a winter hike on Feb 3rd. We will depart from the glass staircase (in OM by the bookstore) at 4:30. Free rides for the first 15 students! We will hike at 7 Mile Creek, which is close to Happy Chef on the way to St.Peter. Please dress for the weather. No need to sign up, just come!

  • The Liberal Arts in Practice

    Definitions abound for the goal of the liberal arts. Developing "well-rounded" individuals, "critical thinkers" and "responsible citizens" are promoted as the prize for years of concerted effort. But what does this look like in practice when pursued in the specialized disciplinary arenas of higher education? Come to The Lab on Friday, Feb. 3 at 3:30pm to hear a fascinating panel on the meaning and practice of the liberal arts at Bethany. Faculty from several disciplines will discuss the interplay between their disciplinary commitments, pedagogy, and their vision of a liberal arts education.

    The Ada Stokes Writing Center, located in HH 217, is open Monday - Thursday from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Tutors provide help in the areas of essay writing, creative writing, resumes, cover letters, graduate applications, and more.
